C&R Research is a newly established UK company that specializes in non-conventional energy solutions, flood solutions, site selection, and environmental impact advice. 

The company was formed as an extension of C&R Consulting Pty Ltd Australia and aims to translate its unique expert knowledge of UCG, CSG, and Surface Gasification processes and their impacts into the global market from its London base. 

The company’s core clients are major mining and energy companies seeking assistance with the identification of suitable sites. C&R Consulting Pty Ltd is a Townsville-based specialist Environmental Consulting Company with a reputation for delivering cost-effective solutions to complex environmental problems.

The company is led by Directors/Principal Scientists Dr. Chris Cuff and Dr. Cecily Rasmussen. 

Dr. Cuff is a Chemical Mineralogists/Hyrdogeochemist and Contaminated Site Assessor who specializes in various fields such as Spectral analyses, Hydrological and geochemical modeling, Contaminated water and soil remediation, Acid rock leaching, and Groundwater movement. 

Dr. Rasmussen is a Geomorphologist/Palaeogeomorphologist specializing in coastal, marine, hydrological, and tropical processes. 

The company also has access to highly qualified and experienced personnel in other areas such as botany, soils, GIS, fluvial geomorphology, aquatic ecology, flood modeling and assessment, mine compliance assessment, surveying and computation, and design and project management.

C&R Consulting has a reputation for assessing, evaluating, and interpreting geological, hydrological, geomorphological, environmental, geochemical, and mineralogical analytical data. The company recognizes that the correct advice acquired at the preliminary stage of any project reduces the potential for unexpected problems during both the development and operational period of a project. Dr. Chris Cuff is also one of three members of an Independent Scientific Panel appointed by the Queensland Cabinet to formulate the future UCG Policy for the Queensland Government.
